NCT ID NCT04187027

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tested whether pulsed electromagnetic field therapy can improve bladder function in 40 children with myelomeningocele (a type of spina bifida) who have neurogenic bladder. The children, aged 4 to 12, received the therapy at a physical therapy clinic. Researchers measured urine flow and bladder capacity to see if the treatment helped. The goal is to ease symptoms, not cure the condition.
