Sound waves may boost immunotherapy in Hard-to-Treat head and neck cancer

Summary

This early-phase trial tests whether using ultrasound and microbubbles can help the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab reach tumors better in people with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer. Only 6 participants will be enrolled to see if the approach is feasible and safe. The goal is to improve the drug's effectiveness against the cancer.
