Immune therapy trial targets devastating rare cancers

Summary
This study is testing whether the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab can help control five specific types of ultra-rare sarcomas that have few treatment options. It will enroll 32 adults whose cancer has returned or spread despite prior treatments. The drug works by releasing the immune system's 'brakes' to help it attack cancer cells, and researchers will measure how well tumors shrink and monitor side effects.
