New hope for intimacy after cancer: study tests specialized physical therapy

NCT ID NCT05242770

Summary

This study tested whether a 10-week program of pelvic physical therapy is a practical and helpful treatment for sexual dysfunction in women who have survived gynecologic cancers like ovarian or cervical cancer. Researchers worked with 20 survivors to see if they could complete the full therapy schedule and if it improved their sexual function and overall quality of life. The main goal was to check if this intensive approach is feasible for survivors to undertake.
