First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a nerve monitoring device during rectal cancer surgery can help surgeons avoid damaging the nerves that control bladder, bowel, and sexual function. About 44 adults with rectal cancer will have their pelvic nerves monitored during surgery, and their quality of life will be checked 3 months later. The goal is to see if this approach reduces common side effects and improves recovery.
