Could a special chair help stop leaking urine? new study for women over 65

NCT ID NCT07260604

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a non-invasive electromagnetic chair treatment (HIFEM) to standard pelvic floor training can reduce urine leakage in women aged 65-85 with daily stress incontinence. One hundred women will be randomly assigned to either standard physiotherapy-led pelvic floor training alone or that training plus ten 30-minute HIFEM sessions. The goal is to see if the combination reduces leakage, the need for incontinence pads, and improves quality of life.
