First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at whether teenagers with idiopathic scoliosis (a curved spine) have different pelvic floor muscle activity compared to healthy teens. Researchers measured muscle activation using a special device and also asked about quality of life. The goal was to better understand how scoliosis affects these core muscles, which help with bladder and bowel control and posture.
