First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to better understand and treat myofascial pelvic pain, a common cause of long-term pelvic pain in women. Researchers will use a noninvasive imaging technique to measure pelvic floor muscle function before and after three different treatments: education with relaxation exercises, physical therapy, or vaginal medication. The study will enroll 120 adult women with pelvic pain for at least three months and follow them over six months to see which treatment works best.
