Summary
This study tests whether adding an experimental drug called PEGPH20 to standard chemotherapy can shrink advanced pancreatic tumors. PEGPH20 breaks down a substance called hyaluronan, which is often found in high amounts in these tumors and may help them grow. The study involves 110 adults with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Researchers are monitoring side effects, especially blood clots, to see if the combination is safe and effective.
