Can a phone app help firefighters stay mentally strong?
NCT ID NCT07199387
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a mobile app called PeerOnCall that lets Canadian firefighters connect with each other for private peer support and wellness resources. About 2,000 firefighters will use the app for one year, and researchers will compare two ways of introducing it to see which leads to more use and better mental health. The goal is to learn how to best support firefighters' well-being on the job.
