Can talking to a peer coach help young women cope with inherited cancer risk?
NCT ID NCT04248257
Summary
This study is testing whether telephone counseling from a trained peer coach can help young women with a strong family history of breast cancer. The program aims to reduce stress, help with decision-making about genetic testing, and provide emotional support. It compares this peer support to standard community resources to see which approach works better for women aged 21-30.
