First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a digital cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program, with or without personalized peer support, can reduce pain, opioid use, and hospital visits in 470 teens and young adults (ages 16–30) with sickle cell disease and chronic pain. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive digital CBT with peer support, self-guided digital CBT, or usual care. The goal is to find better ways to manage pain and improve quality of life.
