Can a virtual buddy system get Parkinson's patients moving?

NCT ID NCT06170866

Summary

This small study tested whether a culturally adapted program could help older Latino adults with Parkinson's disease become more physically active. Ten participants used activity trackers, attended online exercise classes, and were paired with a peer partner for weekly virtual check-ins over 8 weeks. The main goal was to see if this peer-supported, mobile health approach was practical and acceptable for this community, while also checking for effects on activity levels, mood, and motivation.
