NCT ID NCT07397598

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether having a peer support specialist — someone who has been through a similar experience — can help liver transplant recipients with a history of alcohol-related liver disease stay sober and keep up with their medical care. About 95 participants will be followed to see if they drink less, attend more doctor appointments, and live longer. The goal is to find a simple, sustainable way to improve recovery after transplant.
