Can buddying up get women moving? new study tests peer support for exercise
NCT ID NCT01008787
Summary
This study aims to understand why some African American women don't exercise often and to test if learning to support a partner's exercise habits can help them become more active. Researchers will enroll 80 sedentary women and their female friends or family members. One group will receive special training on how to encourage their partner's physical activity, while the other group will receive general health information, to see which approach is more effective.
