Can a phone app and a supportive friend ease the agony of sickle cell pain?
NCT ID NCT06374238
Summary
This study is testing if a therapy app on a phone can help teens and young adults with sickle cell disease manage their chronic pain. It will see if adding one-on-one support from a peer who also has the disease makes the app more helpful. The goal is to reduce pain, lower the need for strong painkillers, and decrease trips to the hospital.
