Teens mentor teens to tackle diabetes tech

NCT ID NCT06203067

Summary

This study is testing a new 6-month peer mentorship program designed to help teenagers with type 1 diabetes use their continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) more regularly. It compares the program, which includes monthly meetings with a mentor family and a health coach, to standard medical care. The main goal is to see if the program improves attitudes toward the device, increases daily use, and leads to better long-term blood sugar control.
