Peer support trial aims to ease mental health crisis for Nepal's LGBTIQA+ community

Summary

This study tests whether trained LGBTIQA+ community members can provide effective counseling to reduce psychological distress and violence exposure. About 960 LGBTIQA+ adults in Nepal will receive either individual counseling, counseling plus group sessions, or standard care. The goal is to improve mental health and safety using a peer-led approach.
