NCT ID NCT06979193
Summary
This study is testing whether counseling and support groups led by trained peers from within the LGBTIQA+ community can help reduce psychological distress and exposure to violence. It will involve 960 LGBTIQA+ adults in Nepal who have experienced recent violence and distress. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either individual counseling, counseling plus monthly group meetings, or be in a comparison group to see which approach works best over one year.
