First seen Dec 15, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how certain natural chemicals in the body, like angiotensin-(1-7), affect high blood pressure and damage to the heart and kidneys in children. Researchers will follow 125 children with newly diagnosed high blood pressure and healthy kids for two years, collecting blood and urine samples and checking heart and kidney function. The goal is to better understand why some children develop high blood pressure and how it harms their organs, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
