Childhood cancer treatment tested on adults in hope for better leukemia control

NCT ID NCT01920737

Summary

This study is testing whether a chemotherapy combination commonly used to treat children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is safe and effective for adults aged 18-60 with newly diagnosed ALL. The goal is to see if this 'pediatric-inspired' approach can help adults achieve deep remission with fewer side effects from certain drugs. Researchers will measure how well the treatment eliminates leukemia cells and monitor patients' survival and quality of life.
