New hope for kids with tough cancers: experimental pill enters trial

Summary
This study is testing a new oral drug called Elimusertib in children and young adults whose solid tumors have come back or stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals are to find the safest dose and see if the drug can shrink tumors, particularly in certain types of sarcoma and cancers with specific genetic changes. Participants take the pill twice daily for three days, then have four days off, repeating this cycle for up to two years.
