NCT ID NCT07249385

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple reminder (a 'nudge') can help emergency room doctors use a risk tool before ordering CT scans for possible pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs). About 440 doctors across 10 emergency departments will take part. The goal is to see if the nudge leads to more appropriate CT scan use, reducing scans when they aren't needed.
