First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new drug called PDR-001 in 12 people with Parkinson's disease. The treatment is injected directly into a brain area to clear clumps of a protein called alpha-synuclein, which is thought to drive the disease. The goal is to see if it is safe and might slow or stop Parkinson's from getting worse.
