NCT ID NCT07174375

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a PCSK9 inhibitor (a cholesterol-lowering drug) to standard care helps people recover better after a stroke caused by a blocked artery. About 478 adults with acute ischemic stroke who undergo endovascular therapy (a procedure to reopen the artery) will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more people achieve functional independence (able to care for themselves) at 90 days.
