New study probes protein clues to heart danger in PCOS

Summary
This study measures levels of two proteins, SCUBE-1 and SCUBE-3, in the blood of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and compares them to healthy women. Researchers want to see if these proteins can act as markers of inflammation and help explain the higher risk of heart problems in PCOS. About 56 women aged 18-35 will take part, including those with and without insulin resistance.
