Scientists hunt for hidden heart risk clues in common Women's condition

NCT ID NCT07396402

Summary

This study aims to understand if two specific proteins (SCUBE-1 and SCUBE-3) in the blood could serve as markers for inflammation and heart disease risk in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Researchers will compare protein levels in 56 women with PCOS—some with normal insulin and some with high insulin—against healthy women. The goal is to gather knowledge about how PCOS might be linked to future heart problems, not to test a treatment.
