Scientists map breathing crises in rare lung disease

NCT ID NCT05161858

Summary

This study aimed to gather detailed information about respiratory flare-ups in people with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), a rare genetic condition affecting the lungs. Researchers followed 105 children and adults with PCD for about a year, measuring their lung function and symptoms during both healthy periods and illness episodes. The data collected will help design future clinical trials testing treatments to prevent or better manage these respiratory flare-ups.
