Global effort launches to map hidden symptoms of rare lung disease

NCT ID NCT04611516

Summary

This study aims to better understand the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) problems experienced by people with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), a rare genetic condition that affects the lungs and sinuses. Researchers will observe 1000 patients at clinics worldwide during their regular check-ups, tracking symptoms like sinus infections and hearing issues over two years. The goal is to learn how these ENT problems relate to lung disease and what factors influence their progression, which could help improve future care.
