How routine pain checks after surgery affect patient trust and anxiety

NCT ID NCT07389330

Summary

This study aims to understand how patients feel about routine pain monitoring after elective surgery. Researchers will survey and interview 300 patients to learn whether they view these checks as supportive or stressful, and how these perceptions affect their trust in nurses, anxiety levels, and willingness to report pain accurately. No treatments are being tested—this is purely observational research to improve patient-centered care.
