First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether a patient navigator—a person who guides individuals through the healthcare system—could increase participation in colorectal cancer screening among people aged 50 to 74 in France. The goal was to reduce social and geographic inequalities in screening rates. Over 28,000 participants who had not completed screening were included, and the study compared screening completion in privileged versus deprived areas.
