First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study asks 600 heart patients and their doctors which treatment they prefer for blocked arteries: a permanent metal stent or a drug-coated balloon that dissolves over time. The goal is to understand how much extra risk people are willing to accept to avoid having a metal implant left in their body. The results will help guide future heart care decisions.
