First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new web-based tool designed to help people with chronic sinusitis make better decisions about their treatment, including whether to have surgery. About 50 patients from USC clinics will use the tool or receive standard information. Researchers will measure how the tool affects treatment choices, knowledge, and satisfaction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this tool could help patients with chronic sinusitis make more informed, confident treatment decisions that align with their personal goals.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study (50 participants) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. The tool may not improve decision quality or change treatment choices in a meaningful way.
