Patients take control of their own pain relief in new study

NCT ID NCT06498713

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether patients recovering from shoulder surgery can safely and effectively give themselves liquid acetaminophen (Tylenol) instead of receiving pills from a nurse. About 24 adults will be enrolled to see if this approach is practical and acceptable. The goal is to give patients more control over their pain management while maintaining safety.
