Jumping knee injury study reveals hidden movement differences

NCT ID NCT07463560

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at how people with patellar tendinopathy (a common knee overuse injury in sports) move their legs during side-cutting, compared to healthy individuals. Sixty participants—30 with the injury and 30 without—performed side-cutting tasks while motion capture cameras and force plates recorded their movements. The goal was to identify biomechanical differences that could help understand the injury better.
