Parkinson's Patients' brains struggle to predict the future
NCT ID NCT02126475
Summary
This study investigated how Parkinson's disease affects the brain's ability to anticipate when something will happen. Researchers compared eye movements and brain activity in 40 people—some with Parkinson's and some healthy—to understand how dopamine influences time expectation. Parkinson's patients were tested both with and without their regular medication to see how treatment affects their timing abilities.
