Ear zap & exercise combo tested to fight Parkinson's symptoms

NCT ID NCT05871151

Summary

This study tested whether combining a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation to the ear (targeting the vagus nerve) with supervised physical therapy could improve movement, balance, and daily life for people with Parkinson's disease. Twenty-five participants were randomly assigned to receive either the real stimulation or a sham (fake) version before their therapy sessions. The goal was to see if this combination helped more than exercise alone.
