Smartwatch aims to be a 24/7 Parkinson's symptom tracker

NCT ID NCT05251701

Summary

This study tested a special smartwatch system designed to measure movement symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. It involved 19 people, some with Parkinson's and some healthy, to see if the watch's measurements for things like walking, slowness, and involuntary movements matched up with standard doctor assessments and questionnaires. The goal was to validate the watch as a tool for better understanding and monitoring the disease, not to test a new treatment.
