Swallowable camera seeks Parkinson's clues in the gut

NCT ID NCT04566341

Summary

This study aims to understand if gut problems in Parkinson's disease are linked to visible changes in the nerves of the esophagus. Researchers will test a new, swallowable camera that takes microscopic pictures of the esophagus in 20 people with Parkinson's. The goal is to see if this imaging method works and if the pictures look different from those of healthy people.
