Brain scan may predict which Parkinson's patients walk better on common drug

NCT ID NCT06903910

Summary

This small study explored whether a drug called donepezil (Aricept) could help improve walking and balance in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers tested five participants to see if the drug's effect was linked to the size of a specific brain area involved in movement. The goal was to gather early evidence to guide future, larger studies on treating this disabling symptom.
