Zapping the brain and spine to help Parkinson's patients walk better

NCT ID NCT06868160

Summary

This study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the head and spine can make walking and balance training more effective for people with Parkinson's disease. 71 participants, including 51 with Parkinson's and 20 healthy volunteers, will undergo specialized training. Researchers will measure changes in walking speed, balance, brain activity, and quality of life to see if the stimulation provides an extra benefit.
