Smart leg device could unfreeze Parkinson's walking
NCT ID NCT06416345
Summary
This study is testing whether a wearable leg device called Cue2Walk can improve daily life for people with Parkinson's disease who experience 'freezing of gait'—sudden, temporary episodes where they feel stuck while walking. The device automatically detects these freezing moments and provides rhythmic sounds or vibrations to help the person start walking again. Researchers will compare the device's effectiveness and cost to usual care over 24 weeks.
