Three-Year Parkinson's drug test seeks to calm overactive immune system

NCT ID NCT03790670

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested the safety of giving a drug called Leukine to people with Parkinson's disease for three years. Researchers wanted to see if this drug, which affects the immune system, was safe and tolerable at a lower dose schedule. They also checked if the treatment changed immune cell activity and whether it might improve Parkinson's symptoms like movement and mobility.
