Brain injection targets root cause of Parkinson's in groundbreaking trial
NCT ID NCT07157345
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new treatment called PDR-001, delivered by injection directly into the brain. The goal is to clear a harmful protein believed to drive Parkinson's disease progression, rather than just treating symptoms. Researchers will enroll 12 people with early-stage Parkinson's to first check if the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, while also looking for early signs that it might help.
