Scientists map Parkinson's brain to unlock disease secrets
NCT ID NCT07474779
Summary
This study aims to understand how specific proteins build up and spread in the brains of people with Parkinson's disease and related conditions. Researchers will examine 160 participants, including people with Parkinson's, people with a sleep disorder linked to Parkinson's, and healthy individuals, using blood tests, brain scans, and some skin samples. The goal is to identify patterns that could lead to better tests and treatments by studying how brain connections change as the disease progresses.
