Scientists Fine-Tune brain implants to target stubborn Parkinson's symptoms

NCT ID NCT05557864

Summary

This study aims to understand how the precise location of deep brain stimulation affects movement problems in Parkinson's disease. Researchers are studying 24 people who already have brain stimulators implanted, using advanced brain imaging to map stimulation effects. The goal is to help doctors better tailor these treatments to improve symptoms that don't respond well to standard medications.
