Ultrasound opens Brain's door for Parkinson's drug

NCT ID NCT04370665

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested a new method to get medicine into the brain for Parkinson's disease. Researchers used focused ultrasound guided by an MRI to temporarily open the brain's protective barrier in four patients. They delivered a drug called Cerezyme three times to see if the procedure was safe and possible, and to check for any changes in symptoms.
