Brain scans unlock clues to Parkinson's hidden symptoms
NCT ID NCT02038608
Summary
This study aimed to better understand how Parkinson's disease affects the brain over time. Researchers used special PET brain scans to measure changes in two key brain systems in 49 patients at different stages of the disease. The goal was to see how these brain changes relate to non-motor symptoms like depression, anxiety, and fatigue.
