Scientists test brain scan that could reveal Parkinson's secrets
NCT ID NCT07348250
Summary
This early research study is testing a new imaging drug called [18F]MK-0947 that helps doctors see protein buildup in the brains of people with Parkinson's disease. The study will enroll 22 participants, including people with Parkinson's and healthy volunteers, to check if the tracer is safe and works properly with PET scans. Researchers hope this tool could eventually help diagnose Parkinson's earlier and track how the disease progresses over time.
