Scientists scan brains for 9 years to unlock Parkinson's secrets

NCT ID NCT01496599

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the brain changes in Parkinson's disease over time. Researchers used detailed brain scans (MRI) to compare 62 adults with definite Parkinson's, possible early signs, and healthy volunteers. Participants were followed for up to 9 years to see if brain scan patterns could help predict or track the disease's progression.
