New hope for Parkinson's patients struggling with apathy and loss of motivation

Summary
This study aims to find out if a new oral medication called IRL757 is safe and tolerable for people with Parkinson's disease who also experience apathy—a lack of interest or motivation. About 75 participants will take either the study drug or a placebo (inactive pill) daily for 12 weeks while researchers monitor their health and check if the drug helps with apathy symptoms. The main goal is to ensure the drug is safe, but researchers will also look for early signs that it might help improve motivation and other Parkinson's symptoms.
